A Short Poem On "Change"

 
For a few days, I wish I could move out of the hustle-bustle of this sprawling cosmopolitan city to a utopia where
I could witness sunrises and sunsets,
To feel the cool breeze on my curly black tresses,
To sit back relax and feel that 'Life is just Beautiful, '
To let go of the pessimistic thoughts creeping into my mind,
To close my eyes and feel the intensity of goodness imprinted in my soul,
Something that could change grimace into a euphoric grin on my countenance! 

Alas! Here I sit locked up in my den with inexplicable reasons,
Looks like I am spellbound,
Wound up with invisible spiral wires absolutely paranormal! ! Phew!
Will I ever get a change from this monotonous life?
I wish I could break those delusional ties and flee to the above-mentioned vicinity to experience the goodness of life and write my own Fairy-tale.

My beloved friend

 

When I am almost sinking in a pool of hideous trauma,

My congenial companion comes to my rescue,

She fills my limbic system with immense optimism,

That energy plunges me to the surface, and

I almost swim and reach the shore of exuberance,

My heart holds gratitude in abundance, and

I wish the cosmos could bless our friendship which is endless!

Your Choice

 

It’s purely your choice to be wanderlust,

It’s purely your choice to enjoy the serenity of the vicinity,

It’s purely your choice to marvel at God’s creation,

It’s purely your choice to be amazed at this fathomless cosmos,

 

It’s purely your choice to be a party animal,

It’s purely your choice to be a party pooper,

It’s purely your choice to be a cheer leader,

It’s purely your choice to be a wet blanket,

 

It’s purely your choice to be intense,

It’s purely your choice to be apathetic,

It’s purely your choice to be Meticulous,

It’s purely your choice to be sloppy,

 

It’s purely your choice to be dominant,

It’s purely your choice to be submissive,

It’s purely your choice to be dauntless,

It’s purely your choice to be intimidated.

 

It’s purely your choice to be awesome,

It’s purely your choice to be flaw some,

It’s purely your choice to be the master of your destiny,

It’s purely your choice to succumb to your fate.

 

It’s purely your choice to perpetually drown into my words,

It’s purely your choice to be detached from my intellect,

It’s purely your choice to show some love to this poetry ;)

Smile from a random stranger

I was at a coffee shop and found a random stranger seated diagonally opposite to my table;
I craned my neck and gave a random look; he gave a warm smile,
When the waiter approached me, he gave a pleasant smile,
When I ordered my favourite cappuccino, he gave a disparaging smile,
While I was awaiting my drink, he gave a flirtatious smile,
When my cappuccino arrived, he gave a sheepish smile,
When I took a sip, he gave an enigmatic smile,
When I was done, he gave a groggy smile,
When I paid the bill, he gave an avuncular smile,
When I was about to leave, he gave a ginger smile,
And the smile from a random stranger boggled my mind and left me in absolute bewilderment!

The impact of a good book with nice lines:-
Words are so amazing that;
It slips into my bloodstream,
Engulfing my heart,
Bites me like a venomous serpent,

And all I want to do is read it again and again.
